Should be pretty self-explanatory :) It's very jarring to flip from all my other dark-mode-enabled apps (e.g., GitHub, Slack) to the blinding-white background of Threads!
Ability to collapse comments after opening
Right now, you can expand comment threads on a particular thread easily, but once you expand them, you can't collapse them again. This is unintuitive and makes it hard to navigate when there are many nested sub-conversations in a thread.
"Archive a Thread" Feature Request
Hi! I went through the "Getting Started" articles and it seems like there isn't a feature to archive a Thread yet, it's only available for the forum. It would be super helpful to have that feature, especially if the subject for that Thread is deprecated. Thank you!
Make it easier to cancel recurring threads
Took a few folks way too long to figure it out. Ultimately got there, but was a frustrating experience and the current location (go to sent, click on scheduled) isn't intuitive. A small ui change could help considerably. A few thoughts: give me a way to navigate to/ view the original scheduled thread from a thread pull scheduled threads out into its own menu item additional filter on "all threads", incl potentially a caret that opens all threads with scheduled as an option under it A couple things that make the current UI non-intuitive: if email is the paradigm, sent is things that are dead/ have already happened (not emails/ rules that are currently active) the tab design is subtle/ easy to miss and potentially feels like a filter, but the scheduled items aren't actually in the main content area Thank you!
Sometimes we have a couple of threads that end up being about the same topic - would be nice to merge one (Thread A) into the other (Thread B) to make Thread B the new central owner of that topic.
Add a checklist block for adding to a thread (would be incredibly useful for handover discussions)
Right now the Grammarly Browser Extension ( https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/grammarly-for-chrome/kbfnbcaeplbcioakkpcpgfkobkghlhen ) doesn't work properly when composing a thread. It will show suggestions, but you can't apply them. One workaround is to compose documents in another composer (like Google Docs) that supports Grammarly and then copy it into Threads to post, but this is cumbersome and can often lead to formatting issues.
Reduce Whitespace; Allow sidebar resizing
There is way too much whitespace on my screen - On a large screen, the main body is a narrow column down the middle. Also, the sidebar is fixed-width, so many forum names are truncated with ellipses - maybe let users drag it out and decide how they want the screen divided?
The Do Not Disturb functionality in Threads is great! I think one thing my team and I are missing is the ability to do this along a schedule – especially for push and desktop notifications. I think all of us recognize that iOS and MacOS already have the ability to set up a DND schedule across the entire device. But having the ability to do this at the product level (ala Slack) would be wonderful. Like many people, I have my phone set to DND when I'm headed to bed. But if I had the option, I'd set Threads to DND right as I leave work and throughout the weekend. I suspect many teams who use Threads exclusively for work might want to do the same! Turning off all notifications on Threads and relying on the daily email digest isn't desirable because I want Threads to send me notifications during the work day.
